What to put in a brief for Build with AI

You get one paragraph and a draft back. What you say about who calls whom, and how a good call ends, decides how much editing the draft needs.

By AI Call Studio

Build with AI turns a plain brief into a draft agent or team, with a script and a setup for your line of business. It is the quickest way to a first draft. How close that draft is to what you need depends mostly on three sentences you write at the start.

A weak brief and a stronger one

Here is the kind of brief people write first:

“An agent for my real estate business that talks to customers.”

It doesn't say who rings whom, what the call is for, or how you would know it went well. The draft has to guess all of that. Compare this:

“We call people who filled our Facebook form for a 2 and 3 BHK project in Pune. Ask budget, preferred area and when they want to move. If they are serious, book a site visit for the coming weekend. If they ask about loans or a discount, say our sales manager will call them back. A good call ends with a visit booked or a clear reason why not.”

The questions your brief should answer

  • Who calls whom? We call them, they call us, or both. This shapes how the greeting opens. What really sends calls is what you connect later.
  • What is the call about? One job. An agent that books visits and also collects payments will do neither well. If you truly need both on one call, that is what agent teams are for.
  • What does a good call end with? A booked slot, a promise with a date, a confirmed order, a callback.
  • What must it hand to a person? Discounts, disputes, medical questions, a loan decision. Name them.
  • Which language do your callers speak? Hinglish, Tamil, a mix?

What happens after you press

The draft is checked before you see it. The script is read for things like threats, false urgency, sends the tools cannot do, and vendor names. One repair pass runs. A design that still fails is not shown and not charged. The checks read English, Hinglish and Hindi directly. For other languages, the design also returns an English reading, and that is what gets checked.

Your industry's fields, scoring and calling hours are filled in. A collections design sets calling hours of 9 am to 7 pm India time, and those hours really stop calls. A voice tier is only recommended, and the choice stays with you.

Some rules go under every script and cannot be dropped from a draft. Every agent, however it was built, is told never to claim to be human, and to say it is a virtual assistant if sincerely asked. It does not bring that up by itself. If you want callers told up front, write that into the greeting. Every agent is also told never to ask for an OTP, PIN, CVV, full card number or bank password. That rule lowers a risk, and it is no guarantee, so test it.

What it leaves for you

Build with AI leaves recording, paid AI and sends off, for you to turn on if you want them. So a draft that says “I will send you the brochure” needs a workflow behind it before that is true. An agent sends messages only through a workflow with the trigger Agent sends during a call.

It also cannot know your prices, your policies or what you would never promise. It writes from what you told it, and a draft can sound very sure of itself. Read it the way you would read a new hire's first script.

Read it for these before you test

  • Any price, discount, date or number. Is it yours? Better still, put these in a knowledge base and take them out of the script.
  • Any promise, such as “we will call you within the hour”. Can your team keep it?
  • The greeting in an Indian language. Greetings show a warning until a native speaker has checked them, so have someone read yours aloud.
  • What it does when it doesn't know. You choose: it says it will find out, or it takes a callback request.

Draft, test, then Go live

A built agent or team is a Draft, and takes test calls only until you press Go live. Even if a number or campaign already points at it, no customer reaches it. Go live then lets real customers reach it everywhere it is connected, all at once, and every call is billed. Run a test call first, and a set of agent tests.

Each design is charged once, at the price shown before you press, with one free redo, and a design that fails charges nothing. If the first draft misses, a sharper brief usually does more than a longer one.

When to start somewhere else

If your job is a common one, a template is often closer to done, since it starts from a ready-made role. If you already have a script you trust, Start blank lets you paste it in. Build with AI is at its best when you know what the job is and have no wish to write the instructions yourself.
