Call translation

Review a Telugu call, even if you read only Hindi

An agent speaks the caller's language, so its transcript is in that language too. Call translation gives you a reading copy in the language you choose, beside the original, turn by turn. Open a call and ask for it.

Without it

A supervisor cannot review what they cannot read

Calls nobody can check

A regional campaign runs, and the only person who can review it is on leave.

Copying out to translate

Pasting customer calls into an outside tool is slow, and sends their words somewhere else.

Lost who said what

A plain translation runs lines together, and you can no longer tell which turn is which.

How it works

Reading a call in another language

  1. Open a call

Open it in Call Logs, or anywhere its transcript shows.

  2. Pick a language

Choose the language you want to read it in.

  3. Read side by side

Each turn sits next to the original. Turn 7 means the same turn in both.

  4. Read it again for free

A call is translated once per language, and kept. The next person to open it pays nothing and waits for nothing.

In the product

A call, side by side

The words as spoken on one side, your reading copy on the other.

  • It translates the transcript. It does not listen to the audio again, so a word misheard on the call stays misheard.
  • The original stays the record. Call QA grades the original, never the translation.
  • A reply that does not line up turn for turn is thrown away, rather than shown out of step.

What you control

What you control

On demand

Nothing is translated until someone asks, because most calls are never opened.

An agent's own language

Set a transcript language on an agent or a team, and its calls are translated after they end. Each is charged.

In a download

A recordings download can have translations prepared first, if you ask.

Who can read

Anyone who can already see the call. It opens no new access.

Who uses it

Who it helps

Supervisors

Calls in languages they do not read, without waiting for someone who does.

QA teams

A way to understand a call, with the original still there to grade.

Watch out for this

Setting a transcript language on an agent charges for every call it translates after that. Leave it blank if you only need the odd call.
