Let your agent do things during the call
A tool lets an agent look something up or change something while the caller waits: an order in your system, a booking, a contact. You describe when to use it, test it, and attach it to the agents that should have it.
On every plan- Look up an order
- Create a booking
- Only after the caller confirms
An agent that can only talk has to say "someone will call you"
The answer is in your system
Where is my order? When is my payment due? The agent cannot see, so a person must call back.
Details get retyped
The caller gave everything once. Someone enters it again later, with mistakes.
A live call cannot wait
A slow system, or a tool used on a guess, is heard by the caller.
Adding a tool
Describe it
The address to call, what it needs, and what the agent should know from the reply. The description is what the AI reads to decide when to use it.
Test it
Test sends a real request with the values you type, with the same time limit and retry as a call, and shows what the AI would be told.
Attach it
Give it to the agents and teammates that need it. Status shows who has it and how it has run.
It runs on the call
When the moment comes, the agent uses it and speaks from the answer.
Every tool, who has it, how it ran
"Not attached" and "Test calls only" in Status mean no real caller ever reaches it.
- Built-in actions such as save a lead, book or hand over are not tools you create. Add a tool links to where each is switched on.
- An agent sends messages only through a workflow with the trigger "Agent sends during a call".
- A tool that passes Test but answers slowly can still time out on a busy day.
Test: what the AI would be told
Order status: out for delivery. Expected: tomorrow.
What you decide
When it is used
For anything that creates or changes a record, write "only after the caller confirms", or it may be called on a guess.
What the AI sees
Pick the fields from the reply. Secrets are removed.
How long it may take
Set a time limit from 2 to 15 seconds. A retry runs only when it cannot do a thing twice.
Who has it
Per agent and teammate. A Draft or paused agent uses it in test calls only.
Who it helps
Developers
A plain way to connect a system, with a Test that behaves as a call does.
Support teams
Calls that end with the answer, not a promise to call back.

What it costs
- Tools have no price of their own. The call's minutes are billed as usual, including while the caller waits.
Free trial: Included.
See every plan and rateWatch out for this
Removing a tool takes it off every agent and teammate that has it, from their next call, and deletes its saved key. A tool that changes records can be called on a guess unless you say otherwise.
What stays your job
The tool calls your own system. What that system does with the request, and who may reach it, stays with you.
It works with these
Tools: questions
Do I need a developer?
Is my key safe?
Can the agent send a WhatsApp message with a tool?
What if my system is down?
Let your agent look it up.
Connect one lookup, press Test, and hear it on a test call.
