Live demo

Talk to Riya, and ask for Kannada.

Riya starts in Hinglish in your browser, with no sign-up. Say "Kannada mein baat kijiye" and she follows you.

Kannada + EnglishMore English in Bengaluru

Bengaluru calls take more English. Outside the city, keep it closer to everyday Kannada, with words like EMI and order left as they are.

Neevu, avareRespect after a name

Use "neevu", and "avare" after a name, with "saar" or "madam" where it suits your brand.

Loan, order, courseTemplates to start from

Ready-made Kannada templates cover jobs like loan reminders, Cash on Delivery confirmation and course enquiries, on all four voice tiers.

Why Kannada matters

Bengaluru is not all of Karnataka

Teams based in Bengaluru often assume English or Hindi will do. Customers in the rest of the state tend to respond better to a call that opens in Kannada.

Two markets

One state, two kinds of call

A Whitefield software engineer and a Haveri shop owner should not get one script. Plan an English-heavy version and an everyday Kannada version.

Avare

A polite ending on every name

"Ramesh avare" shows respect where "Ramesh" alone sounds like a teacher calling the register. Add it to every name in your script.

Open warm

The first line sets it up

A short "namaskara" with the customer's name and the reason for calling does more than a long company introduction.

How the agent soundsನಮಸ್ಕಾರ Ramesh ಅವರೇ.
North, coast, south

Hubballi does not sound like Mysuru

North Karnataka speech differs from the south, and the coast has its own. Test on your own list, and keep your words simple if you cover them all.

Money calls

Keep them gentle and short

State the reason once, ask when the customer can pay, and note the answer. A polite "saar" or "madam" helps where your brand uses it.

How the agent soundsಪರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ ಸರ್.
Mixed lists

Not everyone in Bengaluru speaks Kannada

If your city list is mixed, the agent stays in the language you set. Turn on Multilingual mode to let it follow a caller who changes language.

Use cases

Real conversations, the way they go.

How your agent can handle the calls that come up most in Kannada. These are examples, and you set the words.

Example conversation

Lead qualification

A course enquiry from a young professional in Mysuru.

CustomerData course. EMI
Example conversation

Payment reminder

A small business loan EMI past its due date, in Hubballi.

Example conversation

Customer support

A late order, from a customer in Mangaluru.

Conversation nuance

What to check before you scale a Kannada script

Kannada scripts tend to be written by someone in Bengaluru and heard by someone who is not. Check these gaps first.

Spoken forms over written ones

"ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ" is correct on paper and "ಮಾಡ್ತೀನಿ" is what people say. Write the spoken form, or the agent sounds like a radio announcer.

Saar is a brand decision

"Saar" and "madam" are common and friendly, but not every brand wants them. Choose once, and do not put them in each sentence.

Keep technical words in English

Translating "due date" or "Cash on Delivery" into pure Kannada slows the call. Customers already use the English, so leave it in.

Set it in your script

Use "neevu" and "avare" after a name, with "saar" or "madam" where it suits your brand. Bengaluru calls take more English. North Karnataka speech differs, so test on your own list.

FAQ

Kannada questions, answered.

Which voice tiers speak Kannada?
Standard, Ultra, Premium, Ultra Premium. What you can use also depends on your plan: Standard is on every plan, Ultra starts at Growth, Premium at Professional, and Ultra Premium is on Enterprise.
Are there ready-made Kannada agents?
Yes, 11 of our ready-made agents have a Kannada version, with a greeting written in Kannada. You can edit everything before you go live.
Can the agent follow a customer who changes language?
Yes, if you turn on Multilingual mode for that agent. It then replies in the language the caller speaks. Without it, the agent stays in the language you chose.
Can we change the tone and questions of Kannada calls?
Yes. You set the greeting, questions, level of formality, objection handling, when to hand over, and which details to capture, for each agent.
How do I check the Kannada before customers hear it?
An agent takes test calls only until you press Go live. Call it yourself in your browser, ideally with a native speaker from your team, and adjust the script.
Does it connect to our CRM?
From the Growth plan, you can connect a CRM and your own WhatsApp or SMS account. Workflows decide what happens after each call, and you can test them first.
Can a person take over the call?
Yes. On Professional and Enterprise, the call can move to a person on the right desk with a private brief, and desks can have their own language.
