Build your first agent
Create one agent for one job, give it what it needs to know, hear it yourself, and then let real callers reach it.
Before you start
- One clear job for the agent, such as calling new enquiries to check budget and book a visit.
- Your price list or FAQ, if it has to answer questions about your business.
Press New agent and pick how to start
In Agent Studio, press New agent. You get three ways in. Build with AI designs an agent from your description, and you review it before it is created. From a template gives you a ready-made role to preview. Start blank fills in a working script for a role you pick, and its Custom role starts with no script at all.
Build with AI charges once per design, at the price shown before you press. You get one free redo, and a design that fails charges nothing.

Answer the short questions
Say who starts the call (We call them, They call us, or Both), the language, the industry and the voice quality. The industry decides its lead scoring, call outcomes, QA card and practice callers. Who starts the call only decides how the greeting opens. What really sends it calls is what you connect later.
Greetings in Indian languages show a warning until a native speaker has checked them. Have someone read yours.

Read the script in the Setup tab
Open the agent and go to Setup. Identity holds its name and language, Call script holds what it says, Engine holds its voice, and Conversation holds how it behaves. Press Save in the bar at the bottom. Edits apply from the next call, and Versions keeps every saved setup so you can go back.

Give it what it needs to know
An agent only knows what you give it. On Growth and above, add files, typed text or website pages in Knowledge Base, then link them to the agent. Try a question shows exactly what the agent would read. If the answer is not in that text, the agent will not say it.
Talk to it yourself
Open the Live Call Console and speak to the agent from your browser. It runs the last saved setup, with the same voice and knowledge a customer gets. The transcript shows what the agent heard, which usually explains odd behaviour. Tests are billed from ₹2.5 a minute until you press End.

Write down a few tests
In the agent's Evals tab, press New suite. Write things a caller might say, and what a good reply must or must not contain. Later, Add to tests on a real call in Call Logs turns what that caller said into a test.

Press Go live, then connect it
A new agent is a Draft and takes test calls only. Go live is refused while it has no script, its voice quality is not in your plan, or its voice cannot speak its language. The Deploy tab lists everywhere it is connected: a number, a campaign, a workflow or the Web Call Widget.
Costs and what to watch
- Go live lets real customers reach the agent everywhere it is connected, at once, and every call is billed.
- To take an agent off calls for a while, Pause it or use Back to draft. Deleting cannot be undone.
